1. Llegar

I always get home early.  (siempre llego a casa temprano).

Sara have gotten late to school these last days.  (Sara ha llegado tarde a la escuela estos últimos días).

 

   2. Obtener

My sister got a cellphone from his dad yesterday.  (Mi hermana obtuvo un celular de mi padre ayer).

Bob didn’t get a lot of presents for his birthday.  (Bob no obtuvo muchos regalos para su cumpleaños).

 

   3. Comprar 

I got a new car last year. (Compré un nuevo carro en año pasado).

Mary got a new computer for her son. (Mary compró una nueva computadora para su hijo).

 

   4. Entender

We hardly get what the teacher says. (Nosotros apenas comprendemos lo que la profesora dice).

Did you get me? (Me comprendiste).

 

    5. Ponerse 

She got angry with my dad. (Se traduce como «ella se enojó con mi padre ayer»).

I just got hungry. (La traduccion literal es «me acaba de dar hambre»).

My soup is getting cold. (mi sopa se está poniendo fría).

 

    6. Llevar 

Can you get me to the hospital? (Puedes llevarme al hospital?)

I will get mi mom to the beach. (Llevare a mi mamá a la playa).

 

     7. Hacerme (hacerla/hacerlo/hacerlos(as)/hacernos)

She got us call her mom. (Nos hizo llamar a su mamá)

I will get you do the job. (Yo te hare hacer el trabajo).

 

   8. Atender (el teléfono) 

Did you get the phone? (Atendiste el teléfono?)

My daughter will get the phone. (mi hija atendera el teléfono)

 

   9. Contagiarse

I just got the measles. (me acaba de dar sarampión).

My mom got the flu. (A mi mama le dio gripe).

 

  10. Atrapar

My son and I got 3 fish today! (Mi hijo y yo atrapamos 3 peces hoy).

The lion got a wounded zebra. (El león atrapó una cebra herida).
